The Goodness of God is what leads us to repentance, that is a changed life. We need a good grasp of God's mercy and grace to really begin to live for Him. He has brought us out of darkness into His marvelous light and because of this we need to live as sojourners and pilgrims, not attaching ourselves to strongly to the things of this world and pursuing a life that is focused on Christ!
