Set Free...To Glorify God for HisWork
The churches in Judea were able to glorify God for the work He did in Sauls life, from persecutor to proclaimer, from destroyer to declarer. The Judaizers in the Galatian churches didnt rejoice in Gods work in Paul but sought to undermine it out of jealousy and selfish ambition. Paul lays out God’s clear work in His life, giving testimony of who he was prior to meeting Christ, when he met Christ, and after he met Christ, and how this work of God was true, not from man but revealed from heaven. We are so competitive, wanting the best for ourselves. Jealousy is real even when it comes to spiritual growth. We need to rejoice and glorify God for the work He is doing in the lives of others, not focus on ourselves. Lets be a people of authentic encouragement and flee competitive jealousy!

Set Free...From Trying to Please Man
Who doesnt want to be liked by people? It was no different in Bible days. Desiring to be accepted and esteemed, the Judaizers fed the Galatian churches error dressed up in religious nobility. Desiring to have peace and avoid conflict, the Galatian believers listened to these lies and turned their backs of the Gospel of grace. Having been down the road of man-pleasing religion already, the apostle Paul fought against this false gospel, which was no gospel at all, and fought against the man-centered, grace-obliterating poison being introduced into the churches he loved. Having been set free through the cross, we are free from slavery to people pleasing. Do you live like that?

Set Free...From This Present Evil Age
Well, here we go. We begin our first book study together. Im expectant for God to do deep things in our souls. I love the Bible, I believe it is the revelation of heaven, I trust it to change lives … and Im weak, proud, and foolish. That always appears to be the right mix for God to lift our eyes to Him in worship and real life change. I so want you all to love to study the Word and understand the piece of the story Galatians plays in the story of God’s glory. I also want life change, personal transformation that leads to mission. So lets walk this road together as we seek to live in the freedom of the Gospel. God has set us free from thinking like this world so we can live in this world as people belonging to another. Where do you belong?
