  • Theme: gripped by the Gospel for a life of godliness
  • Structure/Synopsis: 1:5-16àGetting the right leaders in place who are able to sniff out and expose false doctrine/bad living; 2:1-10à Teach the people rightly (Stage of life/relationships: older men and older women; younger women & men; workers); 2:11-3:15à Nurture and unleash the people for good works.
  • Aim: To practice good works in keeping with sound doctrine IS to be godly/pursue godliness.

 

MAP: Healthy churches are organized around healthy leaders.

Can you take God at his word? Do you believe that when you read the Bible that God himself has spoken and that he knows what’s best for his creation and his elect people?

 

  1. Healthy Leaders meet specific qualifications (1:5-9)
  2. Healthy Churches are protected by qualified leaders (1:10-16).
