Jacobs Ladder Part 2 (Upon This Rock)
After Jacob received the blessings of Abraham (Gen. 28:2-4), The Lord met him and revealed Himself to him to cinch the promise deep in his heart. The Lord made peace with Gideon (Jehovah Shalom),gave him the promise and cinched it with the sign of the burnt offering. Now, the same God has blessed us with the promises of Abraham, even to the sealing of the Holy Ghost, and has cinched it with the sign of the living, resurrected Messiah and made peace with us by Jehovah Shalom. The Ladder Jacob saw is the Rock Gideon sacrificed on, which is the Rock Moses struck, which is the Jesus that was crucified at Calvary, which lives on today in the power of the Holy Ghost in the Believer. He is risen, He is here, He is the Brides Bridegroom and has given us all things. Amen.

Jacobs Ladder (Upon This Rock)
We call it Jacobs ladder, which is true. It was his ladder, it was a Way given to him. He owned it because it was given to him, and it was on his promised land. This ladder was the Way to heaven, everything that came down and went up went by this ladder. Now this ladder is given to Jacobs seed after him, a Way provided. "Upon this rock" hallelujah, it's yours when it is revealed to you.

War and Peace
The world is a place of conflict and is in desperate need of peace. Men, women, boys, and girls are all characterized by their desire to fulfill their own agendas using their power to serve that end. Jesus is different. He came to serve the agenda of his Father and used His power to serve others. Only in the gospel do we find lasting peace because on the cross the power of war was exhausted in the death of Christ.

Show Us A Sign
In response to the miracle of vs. 14, some in the crowd demanded further proof of Jesus' Messianic role. In this text Jesus says that no more signs will be given, because they are blind to all that he has already done. They were looking, but not seeing! Jesus turns their request into a warning that is as necessary today as it was then.
