Reformational Truth about Sola Scriptura
I Feel: Failure (Part VI)
Learning to deal with feeling like a failure.
Trembling at God's Plan - 1Peter 1:17-21
Peter gives us 3 Truths about Redemption that will change your actions. These 3 Truths focus on God sovereign plan and God the Son's redemptive work. Peter tells us that... 1. Our Redeemer was Predestined 2. Our Redeemer has Appeared 3. Our Redeemer was Raised and Glorified
The Anatomy of a Call
What happens when God calls our name? When we look at Genesis 12 we may see the most important event in the history of mankind. God finally delivers a plan to a hopeless and barren humanity. But God does this over and over again in the lives of all whom call Him Father. This is what salvation looks like. This is the Divine Plan. Can we even understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ outside of Genesis 12?
Forgiveness: It's not really optional
God asks us to forgive. All the time. No matter what. But what are the stipulations? What are the boundaries? It seems like the directive for forgiving others is much clearer and open-ended than we like to think. But how can we experience endless personal forgiveness?
Rediscover the Joy of Christmas! - Luke 1:39-55
Series The Truth of Advent (Part2) - In the first sermon in this Advent series we discovered that Christ came into the world not only to die for our sins, but also to free us from "the power of canceled sin." To dramatize this message, we looked at a clip from a recent presentation of Charles Dickens' beloved classic, "A Christmas Carol," in which Ebenezer Scrooge's deceased business partner, Jacob Marley, makes a night time appearance to Scrooge and warns Scrooge that he must make changes in his life to avoid the painful eternal consequences of his life choices. During this second sermon we see and hear the "Spirit of Christmas Past" remind Scrooge that Scrooge knew the joy of Christmas in his youth. Tragically, Scrooge gave up that joy for the love of material gain and greed. Pastor Terry tells you that God wants you to understand the gift of his Son, Jesus, as God's power to make changes in your life that will enable you to experience the real joy of Christmas as your normal every day experience. The teen Mary, mother of Jesus, God's Savior for the world, shows us how courage is the way to joy. Rediscover the joy of Christmas by facing something painful in your life that can be changed and by seeking God's help in assisting you to act courageously so that it may be transformed, healed and given new life.
Keep God In Thanksgiving Too! - Psalm 145
The importance of keeping God in Thanksgiving as well in addition to the rest of our lives.
Looking to God to save You - Matthew 21:6-11
Series: Preparing for What's Ahead (Part 8) - The eighth and next-to-last sermon in the series, "Preparing for What's Ahead," lifts up the importance of national revival. If you have sought God's forgiveness, the evidence of God's work in your life is both a changed personal life and a life dedicated to working for godly transformation in your community, country and the world. You will hear in this sermon that God's tolerance for sin is not infinite, and that the opportunity for people to repent and seek God's mercy is limited. You will learn that previous nationwide spiritual revivals, or "awakenings," have been preceded by Christians responding to calls to pray. ***** Pastor Terry appeals for a commitment to covenant to pray for a national revival, while there is yet time to do so. A copy of the "Covenant to Pray" will be emailed to anyone who requests it. Phone 401-822-2070 and provide your email address. Please pronounce each letter of your email address and give a word example (e.g., "b" as in boy, etc.). Note: The final sermon in this series will be preached on November 29, 2009. *****
The Law of Capacity
In this sermon, Pastor Lincoln discusses the "law of capacity." This sermon will challenge you to build your capacity so that God can fill you spiritually, financially, and personally. This message will cause you to consider the many ways in which you limit yourself and by so doing--limit God from working miracles in your life.
