The Apostle Paul brings the theme of power in weakness to a climax in chapter 12.  In the previous chapter he made the unbelievable claim that he is able to boast in his weakness.  In chapter 12 he makes the outrageous proclamation: "For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecution, and calamities.  For when I am weak, then I am strong" (vv. 9-10).

You will uncover a devotional feast in these chapters!  How can Paul be so content in such suffering (read the list of punishments, persecutions and pain he went through in 2 Corinthians 11:23-39)?  What did he discover in his closeness to Jesus that we have missed? 

Paul closes the letter with one final warning to the false teachers and those who doubt his apostolic authority, that for the sake of the gospel and the fellowship of true believers, he will deal with the corruption of the Corinthian church with the power of Christ.
