James helps us understand what Godly wisdom looks like and how we are to receive this wisdom--by not only being hearers of God's Word but doers of God's Word.  In addition, James shows how we are to exercise the 2nd greatest commandment by NOT showing favoritism toward or discriminating against people based on their outward appearance.
