Prescription for Success in Sanctification
This short passage is a summary of Paul's thoughts from chapter two. It is a simple yet powerful prescription for success in sanctification. Sanctification is the process that Christians undergo as they are transformed into Christ likeness. The result of sanctification is glory. The prescription for success includes union with Christ as well as our actions and the proper directing of our attention. Sanctification is not for the elite but for all that have union with Christ, all believers.

Suffering is part of the Christian's life. It is a part of our union with Christ in the He suffers with the Church and believers when they suffer but also that we suffer with others in that union. Suffering is very much a part of our union with Christ and it extends in both directions.
