John 11:1 - 46
1. God will use every pain for His purpose.
“Now a certain man was sick” John 11:1

“Lazarus is dead” John 11:14

‘“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ declares the Lord.” Isaiah 55:8

“Jesus wept.” John 11:35
“wept” – calm shedding of tears, to cry silently

2. God will talk, if you will give the time
“The Teacher is here and is asking for you.” John 11:28

“Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me” John 11:41 & 42

3. God will use delays to shape our destiny
“This sickness is not to end in death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it.” John 11:4

“The Jews are out to kill you, and you’re going back?” John 11:8

4. God will unconditionally and unceasingly love you
“Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.” John 11:5
“Jesus was deeply moved in spirit and was troubled” John 11:33

“deeply moved” – to be very angry

“troubled” – to take away calmness, inward agitation displayed by some physical action

“Jesus said, ‘Remove the stone.’ Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to Him, ‘Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days.”’ John 11:39

‘“Lazarus, come forth.’ The man who had died came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, ‘Loose him, and let him go.’” John 11:43 & 44
Lazarus – one whom God helps
Verse of the Week: “take hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both secure and stable” Hebrews 6:18 & 19
