Mountain Movers #5: Our Refuge

Sin: it's a word we usually want to hide from. Too often, we don't forgive ourselves for our mistakes. Too often, we can't let go when we've been hurt. Too often, we judge others when their problems look a little different than our own. Jesus is our refuge from our sin and He has cleared the way for us to run into His arms!

Mountain Movers #4: Let Go

Don't you hate it when life gets out of your control? Our minds often get wrapped up in how we are going to go about our day. Whether it's micro-managing or constantly checking the weather, we like to have a sense of control. We get so obsessed, we typically have the wrong attitude when things don't go exactly our way. The reality is that God is in control and He beckons us to let go and submit to His plans.

Mountain Movers #3: Our ONE Defense

What do you turn to for defense? It would be silly to go into battle with a replica shield made of plastic. So why is it that we so often settle for bad defenses in our day-to-day lives? Too often we hide in fear behind anger, pride, depression, or any number of things that turn out to be pretty flimsy against our problems. God wants to be our ONE defense. In Him, what can stand against us?

Mountain Movers #2: The Inside Track

Do you ever wish you had a script you could just read from? We can get weird when we talk to God. Some people insist on eloquent speeches in Greek, while others fumble their way into pig Latin. Yet when we align ourselves with Him, we understand how to communicate with Him! The Word of God is our inside track into the mind, heart, and ways of God!

Mountain Movers #1: Utterly Dependent

Strongest. Smartest. Most Gifted. All worthless, unless... Throughout history, God has made it stunningly clear that He's not concerned with "survival of the fittest". Our Almighty Creator is not so much worried about outward ability as He is inward integrity. The race doesn't start in full stride, it begins on our knees. Join us as we humble ourselves before the master builder - the original mountain mover!
