 Event: This is the decisive battle to settle the Kingship of Israel.  It is not a long war, but it is very costly  (20,00 men die) conflict between brothers, cousins, uncles, and friends.

FCF: We are prone neglect our  spiritual disciplines and responsibilities

Bible Theme: David's passivity produced gilt because he negelcted his family and kingly responibilities.

Purpose: That you would not become passive in your responsibilities in your God given roles.
