Thank you for visiting our website here at Calvary Baptist Church of Stoneham, Massachusetts. We are a new church in the greater Boston area. Our church began holding services on Sunday, March 1, 2009. It is our desire to raise up an independent, Bible-believing church in this area.
Stoneham is an area that is rich in history and New England tradition. Although the town was first settled in 1645, it wasn’t until 1725 that the first town meeting was held. In the 1840’s, the first churches were built, and in the 1850’s, the Stoneham 5 Cent Savings Bank and John Hill’s Factory were established on Main Street. Although the town still covers only 6 square miles, it has a population over 22,000.
It is our desire to establish a church here in this community that will return to the old paths and the old ways. We hold services the way it used to be and worship the way it ought to be. It’s a place where going to church is still like going to church! We sing the old-fashioned hymns and preach from the old-fashioned King James Bible. Our message is to proclaim Jesus Christ and his death and resurrection as the answer to life's most important questions.
