Ephesians 3:8-21
God’s Glory is to be revealed to the world through His greatness, His majesty, His power, His wisdom, His understanding, His beauty, His Character, and His love through the following:
-
Creation
-
The Bible
-
Christ Jesus
-
The Church
Jesus is the most perfect reflection of God’s glory, because he is God himself in the likeness of man.
What does the Church show the world?
It shows God’s love, wisdom, mercy, relevance, power and forgiveness.
God’s glory is revealed in the fulfillment of purpose.
Ekklesia or Church means a called out gathering of people.
The biggest problem with the world today is unregenerate Christians.
I. The evidence of being born again is shown in our love.
I John 3:18
The Church is not supposed to be a place of common unity.
The Church is supposed to be a place of uncommon unity.
The differences show me my sin nature and what I need to work on.
II. The evidence of being born again is in our transformed
lives.
Jesus gives us the path to the total life makeover.
Matthew 22:36-40
This gives direction to every decision and every reaction.
I live for His glory.
Galatians 6:9-10
Koinonia is a deeply felt relationship, a life connection, a community of people.
Koinonia happens when people:
-
Pray together
-
Study God’s word together
-
Socialize together
-
Live life togethertake care of each other
God created man.
God breathed into man a breath of life and gave us a living soul.
Christ = The Anointed
Emmanuel = God with us
Emmanuel = God with us
HE would be Jesus Christ, or Jesus the Anointed One.
We are called to reveal the Glory of God to the world, so they will be drawn to Jesus.
