GOD IS YOUR POWER

For us to realize, Lord, that we can’t live for You without You. Rely on God for power to live.

John 15:4-5

"Abide” = GRK = “remain”…”stay with”

Spoken as a command.

Jesus saying:

“I want to be involved in your life as you live it each day. But you need to take action and involve Me!”

New American Commentary:

“A branch is not a self-contained entity, and neither is the Christian disciple.”

THE EXODUS 2,3,4 MOSES

Exodus 2:11-15- example NOT abiding and results.

Exodus 3:1-12

Put yourself in the moment w/Moses!

Nobody - past 40 years- sheep herder for father-in-law!

From that to deliver oppressed nation from most powerful nation in world?

Think- most terrifying thing you could do—God says, “do it”

God says someone who mows lawns- and I do – “You’re going to be the next President of the U.S.”

No working up ladder…no influential friends…no money…no power.

Zech. 4:6- “not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,says the Lord or hosts.”

APPLICATION

In life- as child of God, He’s going to push you to trust Him and rely upon Him!

Going to bring you into places/situations- “no way I can handle this. Don’t want to do. Don’t want to go thru this. I’M TOAST!!”

God says, “ABIDE IN ME.”

Never about you, what you can/cannot handle. Always about God in you and you in Him!!
