Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts… If you want to see an early portrait of the church, the place to go is the New Testament book of Acts. If you want to refocus the church on basics, go to is the book of Acts. If you want to see the church on the move, the go to the book of Acts. If you want to see the real and original emerging church, go to the book of Acts. This year CCPC is 29 years old. As we approach our 30th anniversary year in 2010, one of the best things we could do is to take another look at the acts of the risen Lord through the Holy Spirit in the early church. This Sunday we begin an expositional series on this powerful book that will take us through to Advent. Today in the Word as we look at Acts chapter one, we want to think about “The Foundation of Every Church.”
