The Mystery of God's Salvation
0 Amens
How broad is our understanding of salvation? Does it deal only with the redemption of individual souls? In Chapter 11 of Romans the apostle Paul reflects upon how the salvation brought about in the present time impacts God’s relationship to his people Israel and their place in his future plan. Redemption, in other words, is part of a larger set of issues beyond our personal life with the Lord.
This is a key chapter in Christian theology, and there is much disagreement about the role of the people of Israel now and in the future. The issues are complex, but important: Is there a place for Jewish evangelism? How should we evaluate the growing Messianic Jewish movement? Should Christians support the modern nation of Israel? Whatever our responses to these kinds of questions and our particular theological framework, all Christians can come together and praise God for his marvelous redemption and sovereign movement in human history
