Moving With HIM Who Is UnMoved

When a furious storm swept in suddenly on the lake, Jesus continued to sleep while his disciples panicked. Two extremes were present; perfect panic and perfect calm. Jesus rebuked the winds and the waves, and the great calm that was “in” Jesus expanded concentrically to everything around him including the disciples, who then gave astonished testimony what they had witnessed. By referencing their “little faith”, Jesus implies that “greater faith” would have expressed this same testimony of his absolute authority over the winds and waves “before” he rebuked the storm, and more; even if the storm raged on. This is the key to weathering the storms of life when it seems that He is sleeping.
