Signposts and Landmarks on the Journey to Glory
29 Amens
A backslider is someone who has lost their way in the spiritual journey out of darkness. It’s someone who has unwittingly become so full of their own ways that, by default, they no longer respond to the voice of the Spirit. If no adjustment is made in the heart, the backslider will gradually modify their theology and settle into a new definition of normalcy. The result is dry, cultural formalism with no power. The upside is that we’re on a spiritual journey with a high calling and glorious endpoint. We can get back on the road when we make a wrong turn. The bible says in 1 Peter 2:9 – “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”. NKJ – We must learn to set up “Signposts and Landmarks in the Journey to Glory”; a journey “out of darkness into His marvelous light”.

I have never been so challenged by a message before. I am trying to list all the things in my "keep" box and I have found that I am not even honest with myself about everything in it. This is difficult, life changing and God inspired. I have never felt so close to Jesus as I have since this sermon. My Family and I really appreciate you, Dave Jr., Corey and everyone that makes CHCC what it is.
