Signposts and Landmarks on the Journey to Glory

29 Amens

Amen

A backslider is someone who has lost their way in the spiritual journey out of darkness. It’s someone who has unwittingly become so full of their own ways that, by default, they no longer respond to the voice of the Spirit. If no adjustment is made in the heart, the backslider will gradually modify their theology and settle into a new definition of normalcy. The result is dry, cultural formalism with no power. The upside is that we’re on a spiritual journey with a high calling and glorious endpoint. We can get back on the road when we make a wrong turn. The bible says in 1 Peter 2:9 – “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”. NKJ – We must learn to set up “Signposts and Landmarks in the Journey to Glory”; a journey “out of darkness into His marvelous light”.

Was away last week, but so many have told me it was a very "convicting" sermon!! We all need to be on-fire Christians to change this world.

Mary LaChance

One of the most important messages my husband has preached in 22 years of Ministry. A Must hear for those who are serious about growing in the Lord!

Thank you for being bold & speaking what God wished for us to hear. I will be praying that it sticks firmly in our hearts & isn't easily snatched away, or choked out, for us & myself.

Pastor Dave, I am so thankful for a Pastor who is willing to take up His Authority without fear of man. One who is willing to seek out and deliver the word of the Lord for his people. I am so thankful for this word. I pray that those seeds will be planted, take root and prosper.

Susan Trabucco

Pastor Dave, another confirmation of how amazing God is. He always knows just what we need to hear and when we need to hear it and you being his faithful disciple delivered his message to us knowing there would be those who would be revived by it as well as others being offended by it. Hallelujah to our God.

Sharon Weick

Pastor Dave,

Simply Awesome!

Elaine Caldemone

Thank you Pastor Dave for reminding us that we are the body and we have a purpose to be doers of the Word and not just hearers! And that we are on a continous journey of santification and should never be complacent. Thank you Pastor Dave "that you have helped His people and continue to help them!" Hebrews 6:10

Pastor Dave,

I have never been so challenged by a message before. I am trying to list all the things in my "keep" box and I have found that I am not even honest with myself about everything in it. This is difficult, life changing and God inspired. I have never felt so close to Jesus as I have since this sermon. My Family and I really appreciate you, Dave Jr., Corey and everyone that makes CHCC what it is.

Nancy Stevenson

What a blessing. Thank you, Pastor Dave, for showing me that I simply need to be "willing to be willing" - and god will do the rest. Amen
