From before time began through the consummation of things the great universal metanarrative is about one person – “Christ”. History is HIS-story. In Galatians 3:16 Paul said, “The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ.” NIV This is most important in ascertaining the biblical basis for the doctrine of election.
