The Spiritual Act of Worship

There are so many good and thought provoking answers to the question – “What is worship?” Worship is a subject that is multifaceted and multilayered. Answers to this question can range from the lifting of our hands and voices in singing, to a lifestyle that worships God in every word and deed. One thing is certain; you cannot be a true worshipper of God and be apathetic at the same time. Spiritual worship, by its very nature, explodes apathy. One of the biggest enemies to building a worship community today is a cultural ethos bogged down in apathy. We need an explosion of spiritual worship in the church as the last days begin to overtake us. Let’s begin at the level of irreducible simplicity.
