The Voice of the Bridegroom

Hearing from Jesus is not an exercise of spiritual discipline as much as it is taking our place in a specific role; the friend of the bridegroom. John, rejoiced to hear his words to the bride. Satan’s strategy involves the use of deceit and warfare to move us out of the proximity of the bridegroom. We must learn to listen with spiritual ears. The attitude that cultivates the good soil of the hearing ear is – “He must increase, but I must decrease”.

I went back to listen to this again becasue it is such an important message to apply "he must increase, I must decrease."
