In His death and resurrection Jesus forever destroyed the devil’s power over us [Hebrews 2:14-15]. He gave this authority over the devil to His disciples when He was here in earth, and we still have that authority today [Luke 10:17-21]. When we resist the devil he has to flee from us [James 4:7].
