Christian salvation is a multi-faceted experience consisting of justification, regeneration, sanctification, reconciliation, adoption and perseverance.  They are inextricably and unalterably one experience.  Each facet is purely supernatural and occurs automatically and simultaneously upon the human choice to repent and receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.  Each facet is the work of the Holy Spirit without human action and collectively renders the man or woman as a holy one capable of relationship and fellowship with God.  Together, they are the divine work of salvation.

 Regeneration Defined…

Regeneration is an aspect of Christian salvation in which divine life is infused into the dead spirit of an individual (Jn 3: 5; 10:10, 28; 1Jn 5:11-13) imparting a new nature (2Pet 1:4) and producing a new creation (2Cor 5:17).

 I. The Necessity of Regeneration…

  •  Holiness is the indispensable condition for fellowship with God, but men and women are by nature sinful, Romans 3:23; children of disobedience, Ephesians 2:2; children of wrath, Ephesians 2:3; children of the devil, John 8:44

II. The Means of Regeneration

  •  The Will of the Father…James 1:18
  • The Death/Resurrection of Jesus… John 3:16
  • The Work of the Holy Spirit… John 3:6; 6:63

 lll. The Results of Regeneration

  •  Delivered from the kingdom of darkness… Colossians 1:13
