The Gospel Truth
Paul, in his letter to Colosse, writes, “All over the world this gospel is producing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth” (Colossians 1:6). This is our prayer for Cornerstone. The gospel has been described as a pool in which a toddler can wade and yet an elephant can swim. It is both simple enough to share with a child and profound enough for the greatest minds to explore. Join us as we explore the gospel truth.
Turning the Church Inside Out
Is the church for “Insiders” or “Outsiders”? We learn from the first board meeting recorded in Scripture (read Acts 15) that the answer is both. Many churches have argued and even split over this very issue. We want the church to grow, we want to obey the Great Commission and “make disciples.” Over time, however, the gravitational pull of every local church is toward insiders. We unintentionally create barriers and make it hard for those who are not “church people” to attend, see Jesus, and to respond to the most life changing message ever offered. The next decade at Cornerstone will be one of an undeniable move of God if we are willing to turn the church inside out.
A Holy Discontent
We learned last week that we are created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. We discovered that the Holy Spirit will guide us as we seek to understand what "good works" we are to pursue. One the ways He guides is by giving us a Holy Discontent, a stirring in our soul that refuses to let us go. What is your one thing?
20/20 Vision - Evening Service
We all need fresh revelation from God. Vision gives us focus, endurance, and peace. Proverbs 29:18 reminds us that "where there is no revelation, we cast off restraint ..." In other words, we end up imitating culture rather than influencing it. Will you join us in asking God to give us Spiritual Vision as we head into this new year and new decade. This is the message from the 6pm morning worship service. This week we are posting the audio from both the morning and evening service since Mike and Sam both preached the same topic.

God is In Us
During the Christmas season, we celebrate the birth of Christ. We celebrate the fact that God in Christ became flesh and became Emmanuel, God with us. But how often do you stop and think about the fact that now God is in us? The Holy Spirit dwells inside of every believer. Are you living a life directed by and guided by the Holy Spirit? Join us as we look at what a Spirit filled life looks like.
The Power of the Holy Spirit
The same power from the Holy Spirit that enabled the disciples to preach Christ boldly is the same power that we have today. Too many Christians live life defeated and afraid, but there is so much more to the Christian life. Join us to learn what it means to live a life empowered by the Holy Spirit,
2009 Nicaragua Mission Trip Update
As you serve your community and your world, you will experience firsthand the power of the Holy Spirit. In this message you will get to hear about some of the community events that Cornerstone is involved with, and then you will hear from the team members from a recent Mission Trip to Nicaragua. The poverty and living conditions there were beyond comprehension, but we were able to share God's love by meeting both physical and spiritual needs. We encourage you to get involved in fulfilling the Great Commission. It starts in your own community, but your responsibility does not end there.
Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts
As we discover the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we realize that the Holy Spirit is the source of our spiritual gifts. These spiritual gifts are special abilities given by the Holy Spirit and distributed to every believer according to God's design and grace for the common good of the body of Christ. Do you know what your gifts are? And more importantly, are you using them for the common good of the body of Christ.
The Holy Spirit
Are you living a Spirit-filled life? Or do you neglect and ignore the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit has been forgotten, misunderstood, and abused, but yet He is vital to living our life as a disciple of Christ. Mike shares what a spirit-filled life looks like, and why so many people are not living that life.
