Introduction
Jesus was born into a poor familiy in the home of equally-poor distant relatives (Luke 2:7)
The significance of the word "inn" (Greek, kataluma) in the Christmas story.
His birth as Messiah was announced to and by humble shepherds, a despised trade according to the Jewish rabbis (Luke 2:8-20)
He also was redeemed and dedicated with the poor person's sacrifice (Luke 2:21-35)
