Questions for Discussion and Discovery

1. Ephesians 1:7-8 speaks of how the believer has been redeemed.  What is the cost of redemption?  What did redemption do for us?

2. What does it mean that God gave "according to the riches of His grace"? (as opposed to giving out of the riches)

3. How does the redemption of men and women fulfill the purpose and plan of God to unite all things in Him? (v.10)

4. The phrase "to the praise of His glory" is used multiple times in this passage.  How are redemption, forgiveness, inheritance, and the other actions of God to man mentioned used to glorify God?

5. What does Paul mean when he says that believers are "sealed with the promised Holy Spirit"? (v.13)

6. Read through the passage again and list all of the actions that come after the words "In Him".  What is Paul trying to show us about redemption and salvation?

7. How does this passage apply to your life?  How does it impact you on a daily basis?
