The reason most people don't get involved in church is because they either they think they can't or they won't. When churches violate the principle of Diversity over Conformity, people think they can't measure up and therefore don't get involved. When churches violate the principle of Humility over Hierarchy, people that have something to give to the church are turned of by the process. Jesus gives us clear teaching on this subject in Matthew 20. Paul gives churches clear teaching on this in I Corinthians 12.
