(Romans 8:3 KJV)
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

(Romans 8:4 KJV)
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

(Romans 8:5 KJV)
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

(Romans 8:6 KJV)
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Last week we saw how the true believer is no longer under any sort of condemnation. The wrath has been paid for by Jesus on the cross.
There will be no wrath from the Father, no purgatory or any other punishment because true Christians are sons and daughters of the most high God.

Before you were saved you were in bondage to sin and Yes, the bondage to sin and Satan is strong. He does not desire than he lose anyone of his children. He desires to keep you under his bondage forever and he will do whatever it takes to keep you under his bondage and under his thumb.

I know there are people who think that they themselves have the power to break those bonds, but we are mere humans and we are much weaker than Satan. We do not have the strength to overpower the prince of this world.

So how are you to loose yourself from the prince of this world that so desperately wants to keep you as his slave…even into the very pits of hell?

Satan is strong and on your own you cannot defeat him, but God is more powerful and master of all…yes even including Satan and his fallen angels.
Only God has the power to break the chains of bondage of sin and Satan.

If you rely on yourself to rid yourself of the awful bondage of the devil and sin then you will fail and you will fail miserably, and hell is your only hope for the future, but when you put your faith, your trust in Jesus, you can overcome the evil one.

By repenting of your sins with a contrite heart and having faith in Jesus you will be loosed from the awful bonds to your master Satan and freed from unrighteousness.

You cannot simply choose good over evil, salvation over damnation without the power of God Almighty and without the work of Jesus upon the cross. Without the power of God you will only know Hell.

Yes…It is only by the power of God that you can be loosed from the bonds of sin and of Satan. But in order to do so you must repent and put your faith in Jesus. You must receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
