Living an Authentic Life
I John 3: 11-18; Matthew 25: 40

What evidence do we present to the world that says we belong to God?

An inconsistent life invalidates our profession of faith.

Everyone is known for something.

I. Authentic Love is Specific. (v. 11-15)

• We must abandon ourselves to God.
• We must abandon ourselves to one another.
• We must abandon ourselves to our community.

II. Authentic Love is Supernatural. (v. 16)

• Authentic love sacrifices.
• Authentic love serves.

III. Authentic Love is Seen. (v. 17-18)

• Don't be selfish with your possessions.
• Don't be satisfied with your profession.
