We have emotional limits, but God's presence creates emotional margin for us.

Our culture encourages us to live as close to the edge as possible, and as a result we pack our schedules and empty our checkbooks-all in a quest to grab the most we can from life. This kind of life is dangerous, however, because God created us with limits. The closer we approach our limits, the less margin and greater potential we have to burn ourselves out-as well as those around us.

Too Good to Be True
God was silent for 400 years between the Old and New Testaments. Then he opened his mouth again to do a new thing, and Jesus was born. Sometimes God is silent to us as well, but even in the silence we can wait with hope, because he is preparing to do a new thing.
