"I Discovered" - Part 2

John 12:27-36

27 "Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour?' No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name!" John 12:27-28a

1. JESUS CAME TO LIVE GOD'S CAUSE IN HIS TIME-- NO MATTER WHAT.

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

Then a voice came from heaven, "I have glorified it, and will glorify it again." 29 The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him. John 12:28b- 29

2. HE IS CALLING YOU TO LIVE FOR THE SAME CAUSE IN YOURS.

24 " ‘Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you. Exodus 20:24

30 Jesus said, "This voice was for your benefit, not mine. 31 Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. 32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself." 33 He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die. John 12:30-33

3. YOU CAN BECOME HIS CAUSE INSPIRED PERSON EVEN IF YOU'VE HAD MOST HUMBLE, DIFFICULT, OR SIN-FILLED CIRCUMSTANCES.

HOW CAN I LIFT UP CHRIST IN MY LIFE?
• BELIEVE GOD
• FOLLOW CHRIST
• OBEY YOUR CALL

35 Then Jesus told them, "You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Those who walk in the dark do not know where they are going. 36 Put your trust in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light." John 12:35-36a
