SINLESS

“Shameless” – Part 1

Matthew 15:10-20 & John 8:1-11

17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?

18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these defile you.

19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

20 These are what defile you; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile you.” Matthew 15:17-20

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.

7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”

8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.

10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” John 8:6b-11

We don’t like to realize that

WHAT IS IN OUR HEART IS DEVASTATINGLY UNLIKE GOD’S.

So, that truth causes two equal and opposite reactions in us …

We can RUN or We can RELAX

But, the first results in

SHAMEFULNESS, but the second SHAMELESSNESS.
