GOT FRUIT? (part-3) Peace

  1. Peace with God most important peace

Rom.5:1 Being therefore justified by faith we have peace with God…

     2.   Peace of God  Philippians 4:4-9
4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

 

WE WILL NOT HAVE THE PEACE OF GOD UNTIL:


 

1. Commending Conscience – till we sense God’s pleasure

Col. 3:15 "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts."

Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

Job 18:4 "You are only hurting yourself with your anger."

James 3:17 (KJV) But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

 

2. Honoring your Values – till we do what you believe

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Isa 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee”.

2 Timothy 1:6-7 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift …7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

3. Praying for burdens – God knows, cares, and is in control

– till we believe…”Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.”

1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Jn.14:27 My peace I give to you, not as the world gives…

Isa 43:1-2 1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Ps 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

 

Focus on Jesus – not the storm!
