1. Do I have the right goal?  Proverbs 1:7; 4:6-7

2. Does God's Word give me guidance?

3. Have I prayed about it?  Matthew 4:2; Luke 6:12-13; Matthew 26:36-45; 6:10

4. Have I sought advice from wise people?  Proverbs 13:20; 15:22

5. Has God given any biblical models to follow?  Romans 13:20; 15:22  

 6. Has God providentially given any guidance?

7. What does my conscience tell me?

8. What are my gifts, passions, abilities, personality, and experiences?

9. If everything else is equal, what is my desire?
