FOUR NEEDS
1. Interdependence, not independence (21-24a)
THE KEY PRINCIPLE: In God’s body, the stronger members honor and protect the weak. (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
“Encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.” 1 Thessalonians 5:14
2. Mutual support and encouragement (24b-26; 1 Corinthians 11:18; Acts 4:32)
“And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them.” Acts 4:32
“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a great battle.” – Philo of Alexandria
OUR CHALLENGE: Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. (Romans 12:15)

4. To earnestly seek contentment, harmony and most importantly, love (31; 1 Corinthians 14:1)
