Amen

The one group of people that Jesus had harsh words for were the prominent religious leaders.  The ones who were proud of their traditions and of their knowledge of and adherence to the law.  They had missed it.  No one is saved by the law.  Not even in the Old Testament.  Jesus had great grace and mercy to the worst of sinners who were humble, to those who knew their condition and were honest with them selves and with Jesus about their condition.
