Going Through the Motions
The Christian life is a relationship and not a routine. We must stop going through the motions and meet with the Messiah. As we grow in our relationship with Christ it will eventually get to the point where you make every decision that you make based on Christ, and not on our selves and our routines.
Seek Him and You Shall Find Him
To Seek him first we must seek him with all of our heart. There are so many things that attempt to capture our hearts. Once other things capture our hearts, we lose sight of our lord and savior. Are you willing to seek him with all of your heart? Are you willing to make everything else secondary compared to Christ?
He Must Become Greater
He Must become Greater and we must become less. This year, has this been the case in our lives? Has our faith, trust, and hope increased in Christ in 2009? Have we drawn closer to God, or have we become the focus and made him less important in our lives? He must become greater we must become less.
No Room for Jesus
Do you have room in your heart for Christ? Have you allowed others things to become the focus of your life? Have you been mastered by sin? Jesus will not accept part of our heart, he deserves and demands it all. When we live for anything else we are saying that we have no room for Jesus in our hearts and our lives.
Freedom from Footholds
A foothold is a secure position from which it is difficult to be dislodged. There is nothing Satan likes better then a foothold within a church or a home. Our Enemy is just waiting to devour and destroy us if we let him. These footholds happen when we disconnect from God. Are you looking for freedom from footholds. Freedom can only be found in Christ.
