Freedom! In Christ

Christ has set you free through the cross; yet, why am I still living as though I am bound by sin? The cross of Christ set our hearts free from its sinfulness so that we can walk in a new life. However, if we do not break our habits from its sinfulness, then we continue to be trapped by those things that bind us.

5 Traits of a Godly Man

One of the things I have found in my years of study and watchfully critiquing culture, the characteristics and traits of a man has been demonized and immasulinated. What this means is, man was created with certain characteristics and traits that set him apart from all other creation (Genesis 2) – essentially, man was godly. However, sin occurred which bent and flawed these characteristics and traits; however, they still exists within the makeup of man. What culture has done is taken these things that are flaws (secular culture would describe these as physical desires, lack of self control and animal-like desires) and elevated these as truth, which has normalized man as instinctively seek out selfish, self fulfilling desires (sex, money, power, etc.) For example, if you Google the “top 10 men magazines,” among money and fitness magazines, you will find at the top of the lists: Playboy, Maxim, FHM and Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Unfortunately, if we rely on the world and culture to define men, excuses are given for their flaws without any charge to be greater than just their “animal-like desires.” However, the very fact that you were born a male, God has called you be something greater. The following is a list I have contrived from numerous articles over the subject, journals, personal experiences and biblical truths.
