Find Strength in The Lord God

Too many times we settle for second best. We experience hardship and just accept that it is part of life. When instead, we ought to recognize it for what it is. A moment to lean into God. And during our time of listening to and learning from God we may even begin to see our next step. I find that through God's Word we are able to see the way we are to handle life's lessons. Today we'll see that worship during the Old Testament was in need of an overhaul. We'll not only see why their worship needed to change but how we can begin to live up to God's plan for our lives. So, let's begin to take back our place before God and make sure the devil knows that his days are numbered. Are you ready for more peace, joy, and hope in your life? Then find strength today as we pursue God together for the life we were always meant to have. A life of promised victory. WILL YOU BEGIN TO FLY AS YOU WERE MADE TO? LET US ALLOW GOD TO LEAD & HELP US.

Shining The Light of God

Feelings and emotions are part of being human, but if they are not properly treated then they can manifest themselves in a variety of unhealthy ways. And even if they are not visible to others, our lives can still be negatively impacted until we seek and find help. One way which I have found helpful is to surround myself with Christian friends, who will not only stand with me and help me to hear from God but, who will also help me to see and make the necessary changes to my life. According to scripture (1 John 3:1), people who have not yet accepted Christ do not fully understand or appreciate the significance of Christian fellowship. And I would even posit there are some people who claim to follow Christ that haven't yet fully embraced the power of true fellowship with God and His family. In today's message we'll consider the area's of our life which have yet to submit to God's authority and begin to invite His righteousness to rid ourselves of anything contrary to His will. In other words, let us all step out of the darkness and into the light.

Helping Those Around You

Who doesn't enjoy receiving love? Not only does God enjoy it when we express our love to Him, but He wants to love us too. I mean, how cool is that? And we know that He asks us to not only love our friends, but even our enemies too. What?! Yet how often do we get around to actually doing it? I'm not talking about birthday celebrations, or when the weekend comes and you need some friends to hang out with. I'm talking regular and even random acts of kindness throughout the week - because it just feels right. I know you might be thinking, well when was the last time someone did this for you, but don't try to be like everyone else. God made each of us to be unique and we should not compare ourselves to one another. So, do you! God will love it, and so will those you begin to surprise with kind words and deeds.

Finding the Secret to Peace

If you and I were invited to sit with a master crafter, an artist, an engineer, etc. of some special product and we could ask all the questions we wanted to, I'm sure most of us would jump at the chance. This is no different from us being invited to sit down with our creator - God. Yet, once we make this decision we must admit that life will no longer be the same. In other words, we will have new knowledge and will be able to see and understand things from an entirely new perspective. Are you ready to learn something about the gift we have in Jesus? The gift we have access to known as the Word of God, or The gift of the Holy Spirit? Then take some time with me as we revisit the Book of James.

More of God and Less of Me

When it comes to prayer, we can often begin with our immediate needs first and then before you know it, we are off running again. However, Christ has shown us in scripture a better way to pray. For example, last week we examined the role of adoration: taking time to appreciate God; and this week we will look at petition: the way we ask God - or bring Him - our requests. Follow along with us as we seek to know more about God and what our prayer life with Him might include.
