True Identity

Colossians 3:1-4

It is a Kairos time for the church.  A time to truly know who we are.  The battle being waged and intensified for our thoughts and the high places need to be torn from our thinking.  Our enemy knows that we are a force to be reckoned with if we understand who this NEW CREATION MAN is and he is doing all he can to keep us from that understanding.

Mark 4:14-20

Satan is after the word sown in our hearts.  He wants us to doubt God or be distracted or be fearful of what man thinks of us.  And he is vigilant in his onslaught upon our minds.  But remember, God’s Word is much more powerful than the enemy’s.  We must quit listening to the lies and focus on what God is saying in His Word and by His Spirit.  Remember, Satan went after Eve’s faith in God’s Word as well.

We have talked recently about the Word made flesh the first time, Jesus, and also about the Word of God being made flesh in our lives as we come into alignment with God’s thoughts, renewing our thinking to His.

Hebrews 4:12

I know I keep harping on this thought, but I believe it is on the heart of God (and has been) that the believers must agree with God’s Word from Heaven before many of the things He has declared take place.  Remember, God was looking for a man to believe and agree with Him and found our father, Abraham, the one justified by faith.

We must believe God’s Word, for it declares our identity.

1Peter 1:23-25

Isaiah 55:6-13

Notice we are told to forsake our WAY and our THOUGHTS.  So that we can have His way and thoughts that are revealed in His powerful Word, which, when believed, will accomplish what God sent them to do, conform us into the image of His Son, Jesus.

So, what is God’s Word on our identity?

God says much more about who we are, but we must believe what He says.  Where we are out of agreement with Him, we must change and that begins with our thoughts.  Remember Isaiah’s words:

Isaiah 55:11
