I have to choose it

Final message in the series. It's not enough to simply hear the words of Jesus, but we must radically alter the pursuit of our lives to align ourselves with Him and His kingdom

Good fruit begins on the inside

Change from the inside out is what God is after. You can attempt to beautify your image, and look the part, but God doesn't care. Are you striving to look the part, or to know Christ?

It's not supposed to be easy

Jesus told the way to eternal life is narrow, rocky and hard to find. Why do we expect life to be easy when Jesus clearly shows us it will not. Life as a disciple was never meant to be easy, in fact a life lived to Christ is sure to be the opposite... difficult, yet filled with hope, joy, peace, and life. That is what we are after, it's not supposed to be easy

God wants to say yes

When Jesus tells us to, "Ask, and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you..." what does He mean? Can that possible mean that God wants us to have what we want? All we have to do is ask? Well, sort of, the catch is that God wants us to ask Him for the things He is already doing, for Kingdom impact. He wants us to seek after intimacy with Him, and he wants us to knock on the door of heaven as week seek to be aliens here on earth. When what we want becomes what the Father wants, we finally understand the context for this promise.

I need to look at me

Matthew 7:1-5 is challenging us to stop looking for the wrong in other people, and search our own hearts. We need to become more aware of the reality of how much we have been forgiven, and let that place in us a desire to give God's grace to a dying world.

God is Big Enough

Worrying never solved any problems. IN this passage God is showing us that to live a life of worry over the small details is the same as telling God He is not big enough to handle it. Where there is worry, there is no room for genuine faith.

You come First

Jesus did not come to earth to be served but to serve. This is our model, as followers of Christ Jesus is asking us to live for something bigger than storing up earthly treasures. As Paul says, it is our gift to have the opportunity to give our lives for such a calling. The Truth, "You come first," is meant to equip us as we live our lives loving broken people. As we live in this world, we should expect to be taken advantage of, and our calling is to go ahead and let that become our reality, let that become what we live for.
