God is Big Enough

Matthew 6:25-34

People Matter Most #13 | 10.04.09

 

Where there is worry, there is no room for faith.

 

 What’s so wrong with worrying?

 

  1. The things we worry about aren’t worth it.    Verse 25

 

  1. God values you above all else     Verse 26; 29-30

 

  1. Worrying can’t change anything    Verse 27

 

  1. God already knows what you need… better than you!     Verse 31-32

 

  1. Pursuing and living for these things ensures I will never be free.   Verse 33    

 

  1. Worrying distracts from the urgency of the kingdom.    Verse 34

 

 

Two choices:

 

Continue living your life attempting to control the details, meanwhile, finding that you cannot, sinking deeper into a life ruled by anxiety, fear and doubt with no hope of finding freedom and peace found only in intimate surrender to the Father

 

or

 

Release your life, and it’s details into the care of your heavenly father who knows you intimately loves you completely, and controls all things.
