The books of Daniel and Revelation have much in common including colorful and striking imagery and a focus on the end of all things. Sometimes the descriptions are hard to understand. But the conclusion is unmistakable—God wins. The message is comforting for those who read and heed these prophecies.

We are in a war, but I am not speaking now of Afghanistan or Iraq. We are in a spiritual war. That is the message of John the Beloved inspired by the Spirit. It is good to get ready.
