We are going to experience pot holes in the road to Real Life. At times the reality of this is trying. Our road to Real Life should be paved with adoration. We are brought by our road to a place of praise for many reasons. Our God is a God of mercy because he gives us a new start. Through Jesus we have the hope of life. His resurrection should cause an erruption of praise. We should praise God for the gift of our indestructible inheritance and his hand of protection. Second, be there to teach them. Make spending time with your family a priority. Third, love them not just with words, but your actions. Love includes providing discipline and boundaries.

The cost of freedom is blood. Once a year we observe Memorial Day to honor those who shed their blood and died for our freedoms. For the Christian, every day is a Memorial Day because of the sacrifice of Jesus. Our freedom should cause us to mourn the loss and celebrate the significance of the life once lived. We enjoy freedom in America because people have died for our country. Our freedom as citizens and as Christians is the result of a love-based sacrifice.

God's recipe for a fruitful love grows from a humble spirit. He instructs us to manage our emotions and forgive. Our confusion is not a problem too great for God to handle. When God changes things the results are unimaginable. Why would God want to change us? God wants to see a correct balance in the relationship, wants us to be People Catchers, and wants us to live in total dependence of him. God wants us to live with an incredible anticipation.

Why Not Try Prayer?
For change to occur, we have to desire to see it happen. Prayer is God's tool which opens up the avenue to change. If we commit to prayer, we will not stay the same. Develop a daily discipline of being with God in prayer, ask Him to forgive and restore you, and give thanks for all He has done and all He is preparing to do.
