The Cross Is Our Message

This week's sermon

Paul says to the Corinthians that he preaches “Christ crucified.” He is not a shifty salesman with eloquent and persuasive speech—that would empty the cross of its inherent power. The cross preaches for itself. That God sent His Son to die on the cross is the most profound—and for many the most ridiculous—statement that could ever be made. Our message is not an argument; it is a testimony to some amazing and awe-inspiring events: the life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, Who must have been the Son of God.

About The Cross Series
