Antivenom
The odd story of the Hebrew nation and the bronze serpent uses snakes as a simultaneous metaphor for sin, snakes as a metaphor for the judgment of God, and ultimately, a snake as a metaphor for God’s healing grace. No Shortcuts
What is our expectation of the Messiah? Like the first disciples, do we long for the conquering king, or do we prefer Jesus who gives us our "best life now?" Do we dislike the reality of a suffering Messiah?

Divine Warrior
What does it mean to consider that our sin fills God’s heart not with anger, but with the pain of grief? New Things

Who Knows?
After God has rescued us from the storm and the belly of the whale, so to speak - we still allow our vindictiveness and our hard hearts to blind us to God’s true nature. Our own lack of mercy and forgiveness for those who have harmed us interferes with our response to what we know to be God’s will.

So What?!
We can learn Christology, we can hear testimonies, but we don’t really understand it for ourselves until something in our experience confirms it in our heart and soul and mind. Does the work of our church reflect a good understanding of discipleship?

Watershed
Our baptisms are our own dividing line. Like Jesus consented to God’s claim on his life and began his journey living into God’s plan for his life, our baptisms signify our acceptance of a life of active discipleship.
