By making me Choose
"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. I must choose to follow Him:
"Then Jesus said to the disciples, "If any of you
wants to be my follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross, and follow me." matthew16/24nlt

By offering me Full Life
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." john10/10

I must attach my life to His life:
‘Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful apart from me." john15/4nlt

By offering me Light For My Path
I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay
in darkness." john12/46

I must know His word:
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." psalm119/105nlt

By offering to make All Things New
"if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2corinthians5/17

I must live like everything is new:
"...Christ was raised from death by the glorious power of the Father, so also we might live a new life." romans6/4tev

The gifts at Jesus' birth prefigured His purpose:
"Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh." matthew2/11nlt

Gold: to Honor a King
Frankincense: to Worship God
Myrrh: to foreshadow His Death
