The Eucharist and The Emperor's New Clothes
The story of the Emperor's New Clothes is very similar to the catholic church's requirement to belive that you must believe that the eucharist is necessary for salvation. They require that the sacraments are necessary for salvation and say that only a validly ordained priest can change the bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ. We must ask: does the Bible say communion is for the Presence or Rememberence of Christ? What does the Bible say about Christ's sacrifice? Is it a continual sacrifice or is Jesus' one death enough? Due to the definitions of grace and receiving Christ, those words are misunderstood when used between protestants and catholics. A good question to ask a Roman Catholic is if they've come to the point in thir lives wehre they know that when they die the ywill go to heaven? You will hear them speak of the need for works - the same the that lost people say. We must study and know what we believe and know how to back it up in the Bible

The Right Stuff - 1 Peter 4:12-19
Just as the astronauts of the Mercury 7 had to have the "right stuff" in order to be chosen and were put through a rigourous training program, we too are in God's sanctification program. You can't sanctify ourself. God already has - we must recognize that we are dead to sin. When we face trials, we are not to be shocked by them, they are sent to test us and they are common to all believers.
