Christ versus the Sabbath Scrooges
Continuing from the verse-by-verse series in John, we see that the healing of the man who had been afflicted for 38 years. The words Jesus used were a great illustration of the totality of the gospel message: "Rise, Take Up Thy Bed, And Walk." Rise = Salvation. Take up thy bed = put aside your past. Walk = walk in newness of life.

Evangelism is a subject that makes a lot of people uncomfortable, mostly because it makes us uncomfortable to evangelize. Nevertheless, we are all called to share our faith. But I think the greatest motivation has to spring from the heart.

Proverbs 22:6 , "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from that." God can work in a wayward child's life and can work miracles to bring them back to Himself.
