Evil Boasting

In James 4:13-17, James addresses the topic of future planning. There are two critical errors we can fall into which make our planning offensive to God. One is to presume upon our future health and opportunities. Life can change in an instant, and we need to humbly acknowledge this. Secondly, God is offended when our plans omit Him. In this sermon, we will be challenged to seek God's plan for our lives, not graft God into our plans. We will also deal with the topic of sins of omission, a Catholic concept that Jesus clearly teaches to all Christians.

Wisdom from Above

In James 3:13-18 James identifies that there are two very different sources of wisdom: a wisdom from above and a wisdom from below which is earthly, sensual and demonic. Both of these wisdoms bear fruit. God's wisdom yields the fruit of God's Spirit. Godless wisdom produces chaos and every vile thing. The quality of your life will be determined by which of these wisdoms is your guiding voice.

Perfect Mediator

The Bible tells us that there is only one God and that there is only one mediator between God and mankind, Jesus Christ. In this Easter sermon, we will explore Jesus' role as mediator and see that although Jesus is the perfect mediator, we are not guaranteed a perfect outcome. We must receive the grace that is freely offered to us in order to be truly reconciled to God.

Perfect Substitute

In the third message in the Past Perfect series, Pastor Palm explores the role of Jesus as God's perfect lamb sacrifice. We will see how Jesus also had real authority to forgive sins, and thus is able to make a complete atonement for His people.
